On September 5, 2017 the Department of Homeland Security issued a memorandum, rescinding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). They only gave certain DACA recipients 30 days to renew their work permit. USCIS will no longer accept initial DACA applications.

If your current Employment Authorization Document (EAD) will expire between the dates of September 5, 2017, and March 5, 2018. You have until October 5th,2017 to renew your work permit.

  • If you have previously held DACA status then you can apply to renew your status.
  • If you have never been a DACA recipient, you can no longer apply under this program.
  • If you have never been a DACA recipient before, you can no longer apply.
  • Renewal applications will be accepted until October 5, 2017.
